Messi is the best player in the world right now and has been for the past 3-4 years, but he is not one of the greatest yet until he proves himself and wins a WC
To be considered the greatest player of all time he must win a World Cup no question if he doesnt then sorry this all media hype.... Although he has been the best player in the last 3-4 years by far...

ReplyDeleteagreed...he is by far the best player so far of his generation...but to compare him..and put him above the all time greats and he is still 25 years of age only..in the middle of his career..and were no one knows how the remainder of his career could go..is just rlly following all the media hype...he still has a lot to achieve before he can be mentioned with the all time greats...and when i say alot to be achieved i dont mean stats and breaking records in terms of stats..i never look at those things...and btw for me personally its not only about winning a world cup...as ive told ziad...my opinion is..if messi is only judged on whehter he wins a world cup or not..then thats unfair..argentina..have a lot of attackers..but shitty midfield adn defense...so unless messi can defend..and get the ball and make all the plays and then probably finish..theres rlly not much chance of them winning a world cup..unless if they get lucky..or if they have new upcoming players in defensive and midfield positions that make argentina contendors..so its not just judging him by a world cup..it is very important to win one...but it can also be a bit unfair .... for me personally...like ronaldo the brazilian before him...i was never convinced until i saw him play in the serie a....by far the toughest league...not necessarily the strongest teams and they arent controlling euro championships or whatever..but the toughest league to play week in week out..for me if he moves there and plays the same way or better than wid barca now...then thats all the proof that he is among the greatest...ronaldo the brazilian has a better reputation at barca..but anyone who knows football and watched him with inter..know that ronaldo rlly played muuuuuuch better with inter..and thats the sign of a great player...this is all my opinion of course...bas inno playin in the spanish league..for barca..its just tooo easy...each game they win by 5 or 4 or 6 goals..this is not a competitive league were u can rlly gauge how good a player is...on his worst day..messi in the spanish league can either score or produce goals at will..coz theres basically very minimal defense..and very very very few..if any solid teams...
